Ingredients

• 200 g sugar
• 125 g butter or margarine (softened)
• 2 eggs
• 300 g plain flour
• 8 g baking powder
• 8 g vanillin or vanilla sugar
• 2 g salt
• 150 g chocolate chips

Instructions

1. 1Put the sugar and butter or margarine into a large bowl and mix until creamy.
2. 2Add the eggs and mix until smooth.
3. 3Gradually add the flour, mixing constantly.
4. 4Add baking powder, vanillin, and salt and mix until a soft dough forms.
5. 5Fold in the chocolate chips, using your hands if needed.
6. 6Shape the dough into a flat block, wrap in cling film, and refrigerate for 1 hour.
7. 7Preheat the oven to 180°C.
8. 8Flatten the dough slightly and shape or cut the cookies.
9. 9Place on a lined baking tray.
10. 10Bake for about 10 minutes, until lightly golden at the edges.
11. 11Let cool slightly before serving.
